Postdoctoral fellow in HIV bioinformatics. expected start date 6/15/08 or until filled
We seek an individual that is highly motivated and capable of working both independently and in collaboration with others. The programmer will develop code for a website that that allows researchers to use protein sequence, interactive 3D protein structure visualization, gene ontology, short functional motifs and other sources of data to identify leads for new drug target sites for treating AIDS. The optimal applicant should have publications in bioinformatics or computer science journals or experience in commercial software application development. Applicants should also have experience with MySql databases, and software engineering skill for dynamic data visualization Java and web application development. Experience with Hibernate or Spring are desirable.
